ARTILLERY

Early on in our evaluation of Artillery for Balance 2.0 we made the hard decision to remove the class in its current form. The ability to deal indirect damage to an opponent who can neither see or retaliate was a mechanic that just didn’t work well with the rest of Armored Warfare. Even with our successful efforts to reduce the impact Artillery had on the battlefield, it never completely took away the frustration players had with it. Not only was it difficult to balance around, but it had real impacts on our ability to create maps as well. Each map we made, whether in PvP or PvE, had to take into account Arty firing lines. We couldn’t have complex cover or tall mountains and buildings because Artillery wasn’t able to shoot over them. With only a very small percentage of our active playerbase playing Artillery, this made it even harder to justify keeping the class.

Because of these factors, we had a choice; remove Artillery altogether, restrict the class to just PvE or offer the vehicles in a reimagined class form. We decided to go with the third option and have condensed both artillery lines into a single Self Propelled Gun line which offers high damage at the cost of longer aim times and slightly higher reloads. SPG vehicles now have drastically increased mobility to match their real-world capabilities and their Artillery-view has been replaced with a standard zoom reticle. They do retain access to smoke shells, but the illumination support shells have been removed for now. Because of how different the class now plays, we aren’t committing 100% to it sticking around, but we’d like to get player opinions on the changes during the Update 0.19 PTS cycle before deciding whether to keep it or remove the class with the official release of Balance 2.0.

PRAASHEK: Yup pry "indirect" fire method se pro AW nehodi a je spatna tak z nich udelaji high mobility TD. Ona kombinace Auto Loadera , velka accuracy a HERA ( HE raketa ) amunice a spol hlavne v PvE zpusobovala zaludecni potize. Stacilo ze jsi na hard mape nemel Arty a nebo ta arty neumela counter AI Arty a eventuelne vas ty arty AI uzvejkali.

ELDOUGO: Yup Premia a Reward tanky zustanou nedotcene. Refundou Battle Hardened veci.
Je to supr pro lidi co jeli jeden strom, jednoho Dealera a spalili se, takze muzou jit jineho.

Ikdyz jak rikam, maji se kompletne predelavat mechaniky a aarmory, SPG jdou do pryc Autokanony se upravuji. Takze se proste realne stane ze nezustane na kameni kamen. Proto mozny reset vitam. Ikdyz mam T10 z kazdeho dealera krome Cinana samozrejme. Ale bohuzel vsechny artilerky taky sezrali notnou davku XP a ty XP zpet velice rad uvitam. Aspon budu moct jit jiny druh tanku, protoze TD mi moc nesedi a SPG jsem pouzival prevazne na PvE Support. Pro cloveka , co ma unlocked asi vse, to bude na prd. Stejne jak pro cloveka, co vi ze by zase sel Leopardy to bude asi taky na prd.

ELDOUGO: Jelikoz rusi SPG a ja mam vsechny SPG je to waste XP a penez a spol v nich. Resetem se mi vsechn oco jsem dal do veci co budou vypadat a chovcat se jinak, jelikoz predelavaji kompletne mechaniky, mozna zjistim ze chci hrat jinou linii atp. Proto ten reset. Nektere vehikly bych si po zkusenostech proste uz nekoupil a takhle budu mit moznost zacit s velkym poctem penez a goldu a jit linii, ktera bude stat za hrich nejdriv a pak se ukaze. Kdyz se podivas na list vehiklu co meni plus samozrejme mechaniky a ruseni normalizace a armoru atp, tak se dost mozna stane ze tank co hrajes ted se bude za mesic chovat uplne jinak a uz to nebude to prave makove-orechove pro tebe.

FRK_R23: Rekl bych dost strasny, jediny, co se tak nejak da hrat je PvE , udajne ma byt marketingova kampan s patchem 0.20, aspon to tvrdil Silent Stalker, aby bylo komu marketingovat do te doby ale.

LIQUIDFREAK: Ja uprime AW hraju od zacatku PvE , PvP mam nejakych smesnych 750 bitev.
